Latest news: Labour costs in the EU

According to the latest figures published by EUROSTAT, labour costs in Austria are increasing at a slower rate than in Germany. Employment costs in Germany and Austria are 30% higher than the EU average, at €35 (Germany) and €34.9 (Austria) respectively. Employment costs in Poland in the first quarter of 2019 amounted to EUR 9.9, which means an increase of 5.4% compared to Q1 2018.
